Tuscany a perfect film location

Exploring Tuscany visiting the main film location: Florence and Cortona.

Overflowing with familiar sights and picturesque landscapes, Tuscany has been used as a film location for many major films. The charm and appeal of Tuscany is quite unmatched, and several movies have not just been filmed, but were also centered upon the scenic cities of Tuscany, such as Cortona and Florence.

Bask Under the Tuscan Sun

One of these movies is Under the Tuscan Sun, a 2003 Audrey Wells direction based on the Frances Mayes novel of the same name. The film helped reveal the best sights and historical attractions that dotted the city of Florence. Some of the locations used in the film included the Piazza della Signoria and the Piazza della Republica.

The Piazza della Signoria is a square in the form of an L, and is found in Florence, Tuscany. The plaza is a significant historical base, as it served as the former political center of the city. The movie mixes romance and comedy both, and offers a good view on love and family values. However, it is perhaps the breathtaking locations used in the film that contributed to its unabashed success.

Piazza Santa Maria Novella is a world-renowned attraction in Florence. The square or plaza was featured in Tea with Mussolini and is famous for being one of the biggest historical squares found in the city. Great Names for Big or Small Dogs

I've been compiling a list of names for big and small dogs and puppies on my Pet Numerology website for some time now. There are a number of inspiring sources for big and small doggie names including things that are big or small and synonyms for the words big and small.

Large animals are a good source of names for big dogs. Bear and Moose are big hairy mammals, and so are good names for a hairy dog. Mammoths were huge furry elephant like animals millions of years ago, and so also good names for a big hairy dog. Dino, which is sort for dinosaur, fits any big dog. From cryptozoology are the names Sasquatch and Monster, with Sasquatch being another good choice for a furry dog.

Large things are also good inspiration for big dog names. Mountain, from geography, is a good choice - especially for a plumper dog. Sumo, as in the heavy Japanese Sumo Wrestlers, is another good choice for a large and plump dog.

Mythology is a fantastic source of names. From Greek mythology there are Titan and Hercules, with Hercules being especially good for a strong dog. Goliath was a legendary gigantic Philistine warrior.

Finally, names that mean large are always an excellent choice. These include Big, Colossal, Gargantuan, Giant, Huge, Jumbo, Large, Massive, Max, and Mega.

Small animals are a good source of names for small dogs. Cub and Mouse are good for small dogs. Flea is also good, although not as flattering, especially for a really small dog.

Small foods are also a good source of names for tiny dogs. Cupcake (a small cake) Muffin, or Peanut (which can also mean small) are all good choices, especially for cute dogs.

Tiny mythical creatures are cute choices, including Pixie, Sprite, and Tinkerbell. These names are probably all best for girl dogs.

Things that are small are good inspiration. Kewpie, as in Kewpie doll is a cute name, especially for a girl. Electron is a good name for a small dog that is also fast. Nugget, Pebble, and Thimble are three more small things.

Finally, there are a host of words that mean small including Bitty, Itsy, Itty, Dainty (best for a girl), Dinky, Little, Micro, Mini, Peewee, Petite (best for a girl), Nano, Speck, Teensy, Tiny, and Wee.

Also popular is an ironic name, where you name a small dog with a big dog name, or a big dog with a small dog name. Examples of this would be a Great Dane named Tiny or a Chihuahua named Moose.

Ark of the Covenant: Kenyans Now Claim Custody of the Ark of the Covenant

The original chest of the Ark of the Covenant is in Kenya, we can now authouritatively confirm. The chest said to contain the ten commandments that God handed over to Moses as stipulated in the book of Exodus 25; 6 - 10 has been in Kenya since the year 1210 AD.

In a paid up advertisement appearing in THE PEOPLE DAILY, dated 9th Nov 2007, the Chief Seer's messenger has explained in detail how the Ark Of The Covenant was transported from its original location of king Solomon's temple in Jerusalem. In the escape to hide the treasure, war erupted and had to be fought through to Thagana (Tana Island). From Tana Island the war entered the Somalia coast, Kaya forests in Kwale along the Kenyan coast. To divert attention, a replica of the Ark was made and broken into pieces in Digo, still on the Kenyan coast.
But that did not help as the war intensified pushing the Kabiru towards the mainland. They hurriedly burried the Managi and scrolls in secret locations in Mt Kenya. The writer continues to say that the location where the Ark Of The Covenant is, renamed by scholars as Tripple S, TSC shrine will never be subject to research. However, the scrolls which are of equal importance and which are concealed in sites renamed IKB and IKC, could be excavated and sited responsibly.

This revelation is likely to spark off renewed interest in the great search of the Ark Of The Covenant. In the article, the writer reveals that the Mt Kenya is regarded as a God's Mountain. The shrines therein are held in trust by a college of 12 seers who operate in secrecy to guard their wisdom. People who pray with their hands raised and facing the mountain will always have their prayers answered by God. That mode of prayer was prophesied by David when he said "the Ethiopians will raise their hands in prayer to God".
It was adopted as the Gikuyu mode of prayer when the Ark was put in their custody.

The revelation, and the events in the coming week, when the Gikuyu communities have been called upon to pray in unison to God, should be of great interest to religous scholars and historians.
